1. General Provisions

  1. In operating this website and providing its services (“the Services”) to users, our company (“the Company”) establishes this Privacy Policy in accordance with the purpose and principles of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (Act No. 57 of 2003, the “Personal Information Protection Act”). “Personal Information” means information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other descriptions contained in such information, or information that contains an individual identification code, as defined in the Personal Information Protection Act.

3. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

4. Collection of Personal Information

Except as permitted under the Personal Information Protection Act, personal information will not be used for purposes beyond those stated without prior consent, and the Company will endeavor to delete such information promptly once the intended purpose has been fulfilled.


5. Management of Personal Information

The Company appoints a personal information manager and appropriately manages personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and related guidelines.


6. Provision to Third Parties

Except as provided below, or as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other applicable laws and regulations, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties other than service contractors, business partners, or successors to the Company’s business operations. Third parties receiving personal information are required to maintain strict management in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Personal information may be provided to third parties in the following cases:

  1. When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual and obtaining the user’s consent is difficult

  2. When particularly necessary to promote public health or the sound development of children and obtaining the user’s consent is difficult

  3. When cooperating with national or local government agencies or their delegates in the performance of legally prescribed duties, and obtaining the user’s consent may impede the execution of such duties

  4. When confirming bank account or credit card information with financial institutions or credit card companies in connection with payment processing for mail-order or similar transactions


7. Disclosure to Users

When a user requests disclosure of personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company will confirm the identity of the requester and disclose the information without delay (or notify the user if such information does not exist). However, the Company is not obligated to disclose information in cases exempted by the Act or other laws.

  2. The Company will not disclose personal information to third parties without the user’s consent, except in the following cases:

    • When requested by courts, police, or other public authorities under laws and regulations

    • When required by law

    • When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of the user or a third party and obtaining consent is difficult

    • When required to protect or defend the rights, property, or services of the Company from actions contrary to the law or the Terms of Use and obtaining consent is difficult


8. Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

  1. When a user requests correction of personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act on the grounds that the information is not accurate, the Company will confirm the identity of the user, conduct necessary investigations without delay, and correct or suspend use of the information based on the results, notifying the user accordingly.

  2. When a user requests suspension of use or deletion of personal information on the grounds that it is used beyond the scope of the stated purposes or was obtained by improper means, the Company will confirm the identity of the user, investigate without delay, and suspend use or delete the information based on the results. However, if suspension or deletion requires excessive costs or is otherwise difficult, the Company may take alternative measures to protect the user’s rights.
    Users may request notification of purpose, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information once their identity is verified. Some member information can be modified directly through the user’s My Page.


9. Use of Cookies

The Company may use cookies for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Cookies do not record information that personally identifies users. Users may disable cookies through browser settings if desired.


10. Protection of Personal Information via SSL

When entering personal information, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption is used. SSL encrypts transmitted data, allowing users to use the Services safely.
